Substance Abuse Counseling Services

Substance abuse problems affect each member of the family. School, work, finances and other aspects of life are affected as well. Counseling services provided by licensed professionals assist and support individuals and families in achieving sobriety.

Our Substance Abuse Counseling Services are provided on a non-intensive outpatient basis and focus on addressing the substance abuse or addiction problem. Our goal is to establish a client's abstinence from any and all mood-altering drugs and develop an individualized program of recovery. Counselors utilize special skills to assist individuals, families or groups in achieving objectives through exploration of alcohol and drug problems and/or addiction and their ramifications.

Service activities may include assessment, reassessment, treatment services including individual, conjoint, family and group, relapse prevention, prevention/education, medication maintenance, crisis intervention, linking, networking and coordination. Appropriate referrals will be included as needed for each individual, including self-help groups and a referral to a higher level of care if necessary. Psychiatric services also are provided as needed.
