Intensive Home Base Services

Families may experience very difficult problems due to mental health and/or substance abuse. Home Base Services help to keep the family together and the child in their own home rather than being placed in a foster home or other residential placement. Families are able to successfully communicate, interact and handle everyday concerns and problems as a result of learning new skills and techniques that enhance the relationships within the family and maintain healthy functioning.

Our Home Base Services are different from other counseling services. A master's degreed counselor or social worker meet with the family in their home two to five hours per week for up to 12 weeks. We meet with the family, not just the child, because problems occur within the family and are best resolved by working with all members.

Referral may be made to the Home Base Program by the court, clergy, physician, another agency or hospital. Or families may call for services.
